Hounslow Muslim Centre is a project of the Haaya Foundation [Reg Charity No 1180288], we have been providing youth activities and services in West London for over 18 years.
Since late 2017 the Haaya Foundation alongside the local Muslim community in Hounslow have been working towards the purchase of a new Masjid and community centre on Hounslow High Street. The old Jehovah Witness Church is ideally located in the centre of Hounslow and comprises excellent D1 community use facilities and fantastic transport links.
The new building is in the centre of Hounslow, an area which is undergoing considerable regeneration and development with new schemes for shops, restaurants and homes.
The institutional purpose of the new Masjid will be to serve the community, empowering and enabling young Muslims to achieve their true and full potential in their spiritual, educational and vocational aspirations. In addition to services for women, there will be various welfare services, with meeting rooms for use by the local Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
We are inspired by the Prophetic example of a beacon Masjid and community hub and we look forward to continuing our work towards promoting Islam as a peaceful and tolerant way of life. And with your generous support, we look forward to welcoming all members of the wider Hounslow communal family to a centre that will be at the heart of educating future generations, fostering good civic relations and building a more harmonious society.
